Each week, we’ll pose a question or a poll, an image or a graphic, to which we’d like your answers or opinions. We’ll post a link to the question or poll on Twitter, too, so you can choose to post your response either here (on Substack) or there (on Twitter).

This week, #TheLoopWantsToKnow:

Q: In 1974, a group of drinking buddies launched KC’s modern-day St. Patrick's Day parade as the “the world’s worst and shortest parade,” a 1/10th-mile promenade starting at the Continental Hotel and ending at Hogerty’s Cocktail Lounge. What is located at those two landmarks today? (Answer below)

ANSWER: The Continental Hotel was better known in the past few decades as Mark Twain Tower, and today is The Mark KC apartments. Hogerty’s Cocktail Lounge once sat where One Kansas City Place now stands. Both were connected by Baltimore Avenue.
